Partner Spotlight

Youth Technology Corps (YTC)

We're proud to partner with Youth Technology Corps to extend hands-on STEM and robotics education to students around the world through peer-to-peer learning.

1998

Founded in Chicago

Global

Programs across countries

Youth Technology Corps was founded in 1998 in a Hispanic community on the west side of Chicago, with the mission of teaching students about technology by refurbishing and donating computers. What started as a small local initiative quickly grew into a powerful community-driven project that connected students with technology, helping bridge the digital divide in underserved areas.

As YTC's reach expanded, so did its impact. The organization created educational programs in technology and robotics, first in Durango, Mexico, and later across multiple countries. Through innovative use of video conferencing, YTC fostered peer-to-peer learning, connecting students from different parts of the world and providing them with access to high-quality STEM education, building a network of young leaders committed to solving local and global challenges.

How Global Initiatives Works

Our systematic approach ensures every partnership creates meaningful, lasting change.

01

Curriculum Development

We create culturally relevant, hands-on STEM curricula that can be delivered remotely or in-person.

02

Resource Donation

We design, 3D-print, and ship educational materials and equipment to partner schools.

03

Virtual Training

Our student volunteers conduct live training sessions with local teachers and students.

04

Ongoing Support

We maintain long-term partnerships to ensure sustainable impact and continued growth.

“Every child deserves access to quality STEM education, regardless of where they were born. Global Initiatives is our commitment to making that vision a reality.”

— Dilan Mehta, Global Initiatives Founder
